Other shops overpower their sauces to compensate for meat quality but TonQ’s やまと豚 on its own is so tender and juicy you might forget your name after the first bite. This dish highlight’s TonQ’s unparalleled culinary technique and superior quality ingredients. No wonder the nearby park we passed by was so empty; everyone in Tsukuba is probably in TonQ enjoying a sumptuous meal. The dish came with a miso soup with mixed vegetables, pickled side dishes and a refillable plate of white rice. Would travel back to Tsukuba just for this.
